Indications for use
• intestinal amebiasis (amebic dysentery) and extraintestinal amebiasis (including amebic liver abscess)
• giardiasis, balantidiasis, cutaneous leishmaniasis
• trichomoniasis (including chronic complicated)
• combination therapy of severe mixed aerobic-anaerobic infections
• bacterial vaginosis (gardnerellosis)
• pseudomembranous colitis associated with the use of antibiotics
• eradication of H. pylori in the treatment of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, chronic gastritis (as part of combination therapy)
• prevention of postoperative infections in interventions on the colon, perirectal area, appendectomy, gynecological interventions
• in radiation therapy in cancer patients as a radiosensitizing agent
• in the treatment of chronic alcoholism to form an aversion to alcohol.
